Even people in conversations are aware of how many questions they’ve asked and how many questions other people have asked, but they don’t intuit the link between question asking, and liking, persuasion, and information exchange. SARAH GREEN CARMICHAEL: What about a sort of differences between open-ended questions versus closed questions because usually in my job as an interviewer, I try to ask lots of open-ended questions, but are there situations where those are not as effective as a sort of tighter, closed question?
