The special report on human security links new threats with the disconnect between people and planet in pursuit of development, arguing that they are deeply entwined with increasing planetary pressure. In this context, the global launch event will bring in a diverse set of voices and perspectives in line with the spirit of the report with the aim of kicking off a global conversation on human security. The launch event will be comprised of two components: one High-Level launch ceremony and one global ‘deep dive’ conversation on the topics of the report.
