A police fact-finding committee has concluded that senior DawnNewsTV journalist Khawar Hussain Bajwa died by suicide. Bajwa was found dead on August 16 in his car on Hyderabad Road, Sanghar, with a gunshot wound to the head and his licensed 9mm pistol in hand. The committee estimated the time of death between 9:58pm and 10:35pm. Police said Bajwa’s reset mobile phone, along with his pistol, bullets, and SIM card, had been recovered from the car and sent for forensic analysis. A second autopsy conducted at Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad, also confirmed there were no signs of torture.
