ATC Indicts Suspect in Armed Attack on Journalist Nadeem Ahmed

On August 26, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) indicted Armaghan Qureshi, the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case, for allegedly attempting to kill journalist Nadeem Ahmed in Karachi.
Qureshi was produced before ATC Judge-XV, who read out the charges.
According to the FIR, filed by Nadeem Ahmed, a senior reporter at 92 News channel, the incident took place on November 19, 2024, when he was travelling to his office on a motorcycle.
During the altercation, the suspect allegedly pulled out a firearm and opened fire, leaving Ahmed wounded.
The court had observed that Qureshi was not initially named in the FIR but was later identified by Ahmed, which led to his arrest.
