The museum was started from a local history collection built up at Longsands School by teachers Granville Rudd and Peter Brice which needed a new home. The museum has more than 14,000 items in its collection all of which are linked to St Neots and the surrounding villages and new donations of objects from the public are regularly received. The exhibition will run until October 11 in the temporary exhibition gallery at St Neots Museum. Michael Fletcher, chair of St Neots Museum Trustees. "With such wonderful local support, I’m sure it will continue to preserve our local history and share the many fascinating facts and stories for many generations to come."
