Authorities are investigating the death of a young male elephant whose body was discovered riddled with bullet wounds and showing signs of electrocution in a forested area spanning five eastern Thai provinces. According to officials from Khao Ang Rue Nai Wildlife Sanctuary, the elephant had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, with more than ten concentrated around its hindquarters. The remains of the elephant were relocated to the Khao Yai Conservation Unit in Bo Thong District, Chonburi Province, where veterinarians will conduct an autopsy and collect further evidence.
