The £5 temporary congestion charge was approved by Oxfordshire County Council’s cabinet last Wednesday (September 10). The county council said they are “not obliged in any way” to introduce a congestion charge scheme or any other traffic measure. The county council said that the congestion charge was not mentioned in the Enhanced Partnership Plan agreed with the bus companies.
