Motorpoint has completed a major upgrade of its flagship Derby workshop as part of a £1.5m modernisation programme delivered with LKQ Euro Car Parts. So far, 12 Motorpoint workshops have been upgraded. New equipment has included exhaust extraction systems, EV-capable lifts and ADAS diagnostic tools, all supplied and installed by LKQ’s workshop solutions team. LKQ is Motorpoint’s first-line supplier across its network and delivers technician training through the LKQ Academy. Curtis Ainsworth, head of vehicle preparation at Motorpoint, said the Derby upgrade was a key step in the retailer’s plan to offer customers support throughout ownership, including service plans, warranty repairs, MOTs and general maintenance.
