The Deming Headlight is a local newspaper covering Deming, Columbus and Luna County, New Mexico, with additional reporting of regional and statewide interest. It was under the ownership of the Gannett corporation until Nov. 2022, when the Silver City Independent Publishing Co. acquired the Headlight. Every issue includes local news and sports stories by journalists who live in the community; comics and horoscopes; a lively opinion page; event listings; legal notices, classifieds, obituaries, and coupons and specials advertised by local businesses.
