Volvo hybrids are proving hot property for retailers, with the latest figures from Dealer Auction’s EV Performance Review (EVPR) showing strong demand and impressive margins for alternatively fuelled vehicles (AFVs) in August. The standout model was the Volvo XC40 hybrid, which sold in just 27 days on average - making it the fastest-selling car to appear in the profit top 10 this year. It delivered an average margin of £3,245, placing it third overall for profitability during the month. Across the board, Dealer Auction reported that the average sold price held steady at £14,186, with the average vehicle age unchanged at 4.5 years. While average mileage rose slightly (up 3.7% to 45,347 miles) and average margin dipped, overall performance remained positive.
