The newly launched Ford Puma Gen-E has rocketed to the top of Carwow’s most-enquired list, since it secured the government’s full £3,750 Electric Car Grant (ECG). Taking this into account, the Puma Gen-E becomes one of the most affordable electric cars in its class, with an RRP of £27,045 on the road before any other incentives. Carwow says the spike in configurations and enquiries for the Puma shows just how strongly government incentives can influence battery electric vehicle (BEV) demand. Currently sitting just behind the Puma Gen-E on Carwow’s rankings are the Jaecoo 7 in second place and the Hyundai Tucson in third. The Tucson has held a place in the top five most-enquired models since the start of the year.
