The battle between former Renault and Nissan franchisee Kevin Mackie and the OEMs, including their banking division RCI Financial Services, has been flagged to the Home Office minister Sarah Jones. Doogan suggested that the Financial Conduct Authority is failing to ensure that regulated firms are working fairly with their small business customers. "Then, through mendacity or incompetence or both, the bank turned off the oxygen for that business of 50 years." Jones (pictured) responded that she was unaware of the details of the case and would have further talks with Doogan. "Some SMEs in my constituency have had similar issues, so I am very happy to take that forward," she added.
