Half of US car dealers believe artificial intelligence (AI) will result in reduced headcount across their businesses by 2030, according to new research from Phyron. By 2035, 87% expect AI to fully replace some roles, while only 5% say AI will never replace dealership staff. All respondents expect AI to sell cars by 2030, with half predicting autonomous AI sales as soon as 2027.
