–Area residents on Medicare are being reminded to go over some important information before the open enrollment period begins in October. Marla Steier serves as a volunteer with the local Senior Health Insurance Information Program, better known as SHIIP. Anyone with questions about their Medicare plans can talk with a SHIIP counselor this fall to find the plan right for them. If you would like to get a SHIIP information packet, they are available at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona, the Bancroft Clinic or any library in Kossuth County.
