Walt Disney owned ABC has pulled late night host Jimmy Kimmel off air indefinitely over comments he made about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. "Jimmy Kimmel Live will be pre-empted indefinitely," a spokesperson for the Disney owned network stated without any further explanation. "Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done," Mr Trump said in a social media post. Mr Trump has frequently credited Kirk for the drive of more young voters and voters of colour to support his successful 2024 presidential campaign. "Mr Kimmel’s comments about the death of Mr Kirk are offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse," the president of the broadcasting division of Nexstar said.
