The competition – organised by the Brussels ‘Bouwmeester’ chief architect – will select a multidisciplinary design team to develop a new training centre located in Berchem-Saint-Agathe on a site currently featuring several industrial buildings and adjacent green spaces.
AdvertisementAccording to the brief: ‘Located on a former industrial site in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, the project aims to concentrate and streamline investments in training and employment within the construction industry.
The new complex will feature host workshops, flexible training spaces, an 160-capacity auditorium, seminar rooms, exhibition areas, and a café.
The ‘Construcity’ competition is part of the long-term Brussels 2025 strategy to support employment, vocational training, and ecological transition within key sectors including construction.
The study and construction budget for the Beliris phase of the project totals approximately €6.88 million excluding VAT.
