The UK construction sector is at a crossroads. The Building Blocks Manifesto, launched in Parliament by UK Architects Declare last year argued for this shift. Findings from Architects Declare’s Circularity Catalyst event earlier this year highlighted the need for procurement reform, tax incentives, and clear risk frameworks for material reuse to scale. This is why the work of the government’s Circular Economy Taskforce is so significant. Circularity will become the new normal, but the rapid transition we need requires the support of government.
