Finch Architects led the transformation of the site, sensitively restoring key parts of the factory while preserving its untouched sections. The centrepiece of the new museum space is a hall, divided by a transparent glass wall, with textile partitions inspired by the site’s past. That is what we achieved within a year – with a budget of less than €1 million – with Finch architects. Reich’s textile walls and the 25m-long exhibition cabinet in the form of a shop window express Reich’s courage for colour.
