It wasn't a picture but—because I had equated that spatial sense with the words "seeing mentally" until that point—I answered that I was able to vaguely visualize it. Learning about aphantasia hasn't made the act of drawing or conjuring visual ideas any easier for me. As I studied drawing techniques, I also learned that most illustrators don't begin drawing their art in its final form right away, like printers do.
