Except I do see stuff in dreams sometimes (aphantasia doesn't prevent that), and I didn't see anything at all while reading this book. This removes the knee-jerk reactions and the more visceral emotions, because there isn't a direct sensory experience to induce them, but it doesn't spoil the pleasure of a good description. The fact that the prose in Blood Meridian worked very well for an aphantasic mind like mine doesn't mean that all aphantasics will surely like the book.
