Ryan Eves was driving to work along Cleestanton Road in Bitterley when he saw a large bird standing in the road in the distance. As he got closer, he realised it was a bird of prey, which began to fly away from him. Trying to save the bird, Mr Eves attempted to capture it five or six times, but realised that it was unable to fly, and lay down in the road. It is Shropshire's only wildlife rescue, and admits and treats over 6,000 creatures per year. After Mr Eves partner, Jennet Mclean, posted a photo of the bird on social media, with plenty of Ludlow locals offering advice.
