“My worry is that people will shop at M&S Food, grab a coffee at the newly opened Costa Coffee and not come into the town centre. “That would hit the town centre economy. It would also mean that people would miss out on enjoying our independent traders and historic market. The town centre is far from down and out. Councillor Boddington said that although he remains optimistic for the town centre, he continues to be nervous of the supermarket's impact.
