James Allport entered guilty pleas to two counts of driving while over the drug limit when he appeared before magistrates in September. The Craven Arms Volkswagen driver had been caught out in Telford's Wellington Road on March 9, prosecutor Shakeel Ahmed told magistrates in Telford. An evidential blood test revealed that the 38-year-old had 32 microgrammes of class A drug cocaine and 800 microgrammes of cocaine metabolite benzoylecgonine per litre of blood. Allport, of Halford Crescent, Craven Arms, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £120 for the offences. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £48 victim surcharge.
