Down Arts Centre has a great line up of live events this October, including five fantastic live music performances. Getting the ball rolling are Stella Bass and her band with A Little (Jazz) Night Music, celebrating the music of Stephen Sondheim, on Friday 2 October at 8pm, and back by popular demand, The 4 of Us on Saturday 3 October at 8pm. Two of his own musicals, Sweeney Todd and the recent Into the Woods have been adapted for the big screen, and in this new show, Sondheim’s music, including iconic songs such as Send in the Clowns, Losing My Mind and the Oscar-winning Sooner or Later, are adapted beautifully with new jazz arrangements.
