The Friends of Silsden's Green Places have carried out a number of projects. A spokesperson says: "What was derelict wasteland down the steps by the beck is now a scented, rose-bordered 'secret garden'. "This past year we've added new seats – including a special blue one we call our chatty bench, which we hope lots of people take advantage of. People are invited to the group's annual general meeting, in the upstairs function room at the Punch Bowl Inn, Silsden, on Tuesday, October 14, at 7pm.
