Make it Local is an initiative that is designed to encourage people within the district to shop locally and support local businesses. With support from the Department for Communities, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council have launched a new ‘Make It Local’ public relations and advertising campaign to urge residents to buy from and celebrate their local and independent businesses. However, Newry Council are keen to stress that all our town centres require the assistance and support of their local community.
