Specialist emergency service crews have been scouring the water for any sign of a man reported to have entered the river at around 7.30pm on Saturday, September 13. Multi-agency searches are being carried out involving the Air Support Unit, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and HM Coastguard. Police Scotland has confirmed the searches are continuing on Tuesday, as the search enters its fourth day. He is described as wearing a grey hat and a dark grey jacket. Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the man before he entered the water, or who has any information which could assist, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 2781 of September 13, 2025.
