We all love a good deal, and there’s no grocery store slinging deals quite like our favorite discount bargain chain, ALDI. If you’ve ever wondered which state has the most ALDI stores—perhaps you’re hunting an elusive ALDI Find—the answer is not the first U.S. state in which ALDI opened back in 1976, Iowa. The most ALDI stores in the country can actually be found in Florida. In fact, the company has plans to “convert 220 of the stores to ALDI stores by 2027, which is part of their ambitious plan to open 800 stores by the end of 2028.” This year alone, ALDI will be opening 200+ new stores. Illinois is the state with the second-most ALDI stores (Batavia, Illinois, being the U.S. headquarters) with 216 stores, followed by Ohio with 172.
