When it’s time to eat during a road trip, getting everyone to agree on where to stop can be a challenge. Passengers are generally familiar with fast food menus and know what they want before you even enter the drive-through, so you can take the exit ramp off the interstate, get a bag of warm food, and resume travel, without losing a lot of time. Tripadvisor revealed its Travelers’ Favorites Fast Food for 2025 list, and one restaurant topped the list not only globally, but also in the U.S.: McDonald’s. “In a category with a lot of brand recognition, McDonald’s pulled ahead with nearly 100% awareness, high trust, and strong consideration globally across every demographic,” Tripadvisor said in the report.
