PPG Accountants, which is based in Firs Street, Dudley, has been charged with two counts of fraud by abuse of position, two counts of being a trader engaged in a commercial practice which was aggressive and four counts of being a trader knowingly/recklessly engaging in a commercial practice which contravened the requirements of professional diligence. The company, which is the main defendant in the case, has pleaded not guilty to all eight charges which have been brought against it by Dudley Council Trading Standards. The case against the company was heard at Dudley Magistrates Court on Wednesday (September 17), where not guilty pleas were entered on all counts. The case has now been moved to Wolverhampton Crown Court, where a trial will begin on October 15. The company, which, according to its website, offers services to customers in Stourbridge, Kingswinford, Hagley, Sandwell, Kidderminster and Birmingham, has denied any truth in the allegations made against it.
