(Business in Cameroon) - Finance Minister Louis Paul Motaze has issued a restricted national call for tenders to select a firm to conduct an accounting and financial audit of the Food Security Support Project in Rural Areas (SECAL). The audit's purpose is to provide an independent professional opinion on the accounting and financial status of each component of the SECAL project, with a focus on expenditures. Launched in 2024, the project aims to create jobs, foster inclusive growth, and enhance food security by improving the ecosystem for rural businesses. Funded with 10.5 billion CFA francs by the AFD, the SECAL project operates in six regions: Center, Littoral, West, North, Far North, and Southwest. The Professional Training Support Program (AFOP) focuses on training and skills development.
