Styles achieved a sub-three-hour time, considered a coveted milestone for marathon runners. Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe won the race in 2 hours, 2 minutes, and 16 seconds. Paralympic gold medalist Richard Whitehead posted an Instagram photo with Styles, writing “2.58 in Berlin with my mate” and joking “Anyone know him! !” Styles also finished the Tokyo Marathon in March in under three-and-a-half hours.
