North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) said on Sunday morning, one of its team members came across a lady who had taken a fall while out with her dog, just north of Moel Famau. She had sustained a lower leg injury, and it quickly became clear that an extraction would be required, NEWSAR said. (Image: NEWSAR)The woman was stretchered 1km off the hill before being transported to hospital. A NEWSAR spokesperson said: "The callout was raised through the correct channels by dialling 999 and asking for Mountain Rescue, which provided us with permission via North Wales Police to assist. They added: "We wish her a speedy recovery and thank everyone involved for their teamwork and swift response."
