Three flight crews near Boston's Logan Airport reported being illuminated by green laser strikes during flights on Monday evening, Sept. 15, prompting a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) investigation. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents. Authorities emphasize that striking an aircraft with laser light can temporarily blind pilots or cause severe eye injuries. The FAA reported more than 12,800 incidents occurred last year. This year, 5,913 laser incidents have been reported so far, according to a CNN report.
