The Zeiterion Performing Arts Center in New Bedford is set to reopen on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, after a comprehensive $37 million renovation project. The grand reopening event, titled "Big Night, Bright Lights! The Z's Grand Reopening," will feature a one-night-only concert with performances by notable artists, including Emmy-winning comedian Dulcé Sloan as emcee. Performances will feature artists such as Philip Lima, Hendrick Hernandez-Resto, dancers from the Festival Theatre, and a full symphony orchestra. According to a Standard-Times report, January's grand reopening event will also celebrate the first joint performance on stage by the Zeiterion's three resident organizations — the New Bedford Festival Theatre, the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, and the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center.
