Plymouth residents will have a new way to shop sustainably beginning this fall. The community's new "Swap Shop" is opening its doors on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 33 Hedges Pond Road. This municipally owned facility will be open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon through Oct. 25. According to a Facebook post by Sustainable Plymouth, the new "Swap Shop" aims to support sustainable shopping practices by reducing pollution and waste, while promoting a circular economy—"keeping products and materials in use for as long as possible." The shop will be staffed by resident volunteers and maintained by staff of the Plymouth Department of Public Works.
