Following the rescue, Cruiser was rewarded with a McDonald's Happy Meal by his handler, Sgt. Morris rewarded him with a trip to McDonald's for a Happy Meal celebration dinner!" According to the CBS News Boston report, Cruiser joined the Wrentham Police Department as a puppy in 2020 through a grant from the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office. Walpole's Golden Opportunities for Independence, an organization that breeds, raises, and trains English-style Golden Retrievers to become service dogs, provided Cruiser's training.
