The Prince George RCMP is investigating a homicide that occurred yesterday (Tuesday) on the 1900-block of Spruce Street.
Multiple people in the residence were detained during the investigation and were subsequently released without charge,” stated Corporal Jennifer Cooper.
Police believe this to be a targeted event with no increased risk to the general public.
It is the northern capital’s first murder of 2025 according to the detachment after tallying six murders last year.
In addition, the neighbouring North District detachment responded to a pair of homicides outside of the northern capital last year.
