Read it one way and you hear a dialogue between shadow and illumination; flip it and it becomes “Dark Room, Light Wave,” nodding to both the analog roots of photography and the physics of light. The result is a surprising richness that emerges from this self-imposed constraint, challenging both artist and audience to look more closely and more deeply. “Color usually speaks loudest in a very loud world,” says AcA’s Visual Arts Director, Jaik Faulk. Acadiana Center for the Arts’ galleries are open Tuesday through Saturday, 9am–5pm.
