DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – As of today, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has once again failed to release the results of its internal affairs investigation into the modern-day lynching of Jalin Seabron, despite assuring the family and community that the report would be available by July 31st. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has proven itself unfit to lead, unfit to serve, and unfit to investigate its own misconduct. It has been 177 days of agony for the Seabron family. “This is the fourth time Douglas County has promised the Seabron family an answer and failed. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office can not justify the unjustifiable, and it is clear they are stalling because they lack the courage, compassion, and competence to honor the legacy of Jalin Seabron.”
