The imageboard site had been down for 10 days, ever since a hack that restored its /QA/ board and leaked the emails of its lead administrators (called "janitors") hit the site last week. On Wednesday, whoever's in charge of the site's Twitter / X account posted about WIRED's article, which stated that 4chan was likely not coming back. The site is back a day after an alleged email from janitor GrapeApe was shared on X.
