Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash on the westbound A48 between Llanddarog and Carmarthen on the afternoon of Saturday, September 20. A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson confirmed that three people were taken to hospital as a result of the crash between a red Mazda MX-5 and a white Volkswagen T-Sporter. The carriageway remained open while police were in attendance, however the incident did cause delays in the area. The Met Office had issued yellow weather warnings for wind and rain from Saturday morning until the early hours of Sunday. Some areas were forecast to get up to 100mm of rain and there were warnings for potential flooding, the Met Office had warned.
