The two-day event celebrated the town's ties with droving and sheep farming in honour of its historic roots. Visitors were treated to a variety of entertainment, ranging from sheep-related activities, including wool exhibits, to food and drink stalls, craft marquees, and live music. Despite the rain on the first day, the festival, which was set up in 2010, maintained its reputation as a highlight in the local calendar. Children were entertained with comedy, theatre, circus, dance, and storytelling. The Village Show was held on Sunday, September 21, with competitions including categories such as 'the wonkiest vegetable' and 'the best sheep-themed cupcakes'.
