PC Patrick Higgins denied making 20 category A indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of a child, the most serious kind, as well as 32 at category B and 23 at category C.The 30-year-old, who works for Gwent Police is alleged to have done so between October 21, 2023 and August 29, 2024. Higgins, of Bryn y Grug, Ystalyfera, Swansea is due to go on trial on October 19 next year. The defendant’s case is expected to last four days. He was granted conditional bail by the Recorder of Cardiff, Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke, after appearing at Newport Crown Court. Higgins was represented by Rosamund Rutter and the prosecution by Dan Jones.
