In Delaware they celebrate Autism Acceptance and Inclusion Month while the Center for Disease Control shortens it to Autism Acceptance Month. Autism Speaks describes autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. The old saying is true, ‘when you’re met one person with autism, you’ve met one person with autism!’
