Udupi: After years of delays and public pressure, the Indrali railway vehicular bridge on NH 169A was inaugurated on Sunday by Union Minister of State for Railways, V Somanna. The bridge, linking Udupi and Manipal, promises to reduce traffic congestion and improve road safety in the region. He also announced plans to rename the Indrali railway station as Sri Krishna railway station. “The bridge has faced multiple protests and delays, making today a historic milestone,” he said. MLA Suvarna praised the project and reaffirmed his support for the railway station renaming initiative.
