All the dazzling tiaras worn for the state banquet at Windsor Castle honouring the Trumps
['Isaac Bickerstaff', 'Fiona Golfar']
Tatler
In a regal gown of pale blue and with her hair swept back, the Duchess of Gloucester was typically chic for the evening at Windsor – and what better accessory to top off her look than the all-diamond Gloucester Honeysuckle Tiara?
The piece was largely made using diamonds from the dismantled Ladies of England Tiara and the Surrey Fringe Tiara, which had been given to the Queen on the occasion of her wedding in 1893.
For this banquet, however, she chose to wear the tiara in its original form, keeping the characteristic honeysuckle swirls consistent.
When King George and Queen Mary’s third son, Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, married Lady Alice Montagu Douglas Scott in 1935, the bride received several spectacular wedding gifts, including the Honeysuckle Tiara.
