Southbank Centre and Live Beacon have entered into a new partnership that will see iBeacon technology installed across the 21-acre site. Via a free app for smartphones and tablets, iBeacon will provide location specific information to audience members and visitors to the Southbank Centre, including special offers in shops, restaurants and concert tickets and bespoke content linked to festival programmes, artistic events and installations. “We are delighted to be working with Live Beacon to deliver a new way for our many visitors to engage with the vibrant and diverse programme of events at Southbank Centre,” said Chris Denton, director of marketing and communications at the venue.
