Wisconsin U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany launched his campaign for governor Tuesday afternoon — becoming the third, and highest profile, candidate in the 2026 Republican primary. The 2026 race for governor in Wisconsin will be the first open election in over 15 years as Gov. Before going to Washington, D.C., Tiffany was in the state Legislature, first in the Wisconsin State Assembly for about three years, followed by nearly eight years in the state Senate. “I do support that law, and I will uphold it as governor of the state of Wisconsin,” Tiffany said. “I also believe we can reduce income taxes.
