Vasily Podkolzin is putting roots down in Edmonton. The Edmonton Oilers announced Tuesday that the forward has signed a three-year contract extension worth $8.85 million, with an AAV of $2.95 million. In his first season with the Oilers, the six-foot-one, 190-pound Russian recorded 24 points (eight goals and 16 assists) over 82 games.
